About Us

Hi, I'm Tomi Adetayo!

Thank you for stopping by. My name is Tomi Adetayo. I am a teacher, lecturer, children’s picture book author, drummer and photographer. Let me tell you a little more about me.

I absolutely love early years education, and I have spent the last 16 years teaching and most recently lectured in early childhood education.

Before teaching, I was a graduate in Electrical Engineering from City St George’s, University of London.

To be honest, I didn’t really want to be an Engineer, it wasn’t my calling, so I embarked on another journey which has been the most rewarding thing I could have ever done: TEACHING!!!

I enrolled for a PGCE at Goldsmiths, University of London and later a Master’s Degree of Early Years Education at UCL Institute of Education, University College London.

My journey into childhood education deepened and I took a leap of faith by moving abroad. So far, I have taught in London (UK), Tabuk (Saudi Arabia), Salmiya (Kuwait), Abu Dhabi and Dubai (UAE).

I have had the privilege of teaching children from various backgrounds and experiences, and I have learned that all children deserve the right to good education, to develop and become global citizens. Unfortunately, many children are at a disadvantage and do not have this fundamental human right.

Dele is a young boy with a big imagination and an even bigger heart.

Though he doesn’t have a home or many possessions, Dele finds joy in the little things around him the sound of the wind, the beat of his footsteps, and the kindness of strangers.
His journey is one of hope, resilience, and choosing to do the right thing even when life feels unfair. Dele reminds children that bravery doesn’t always come with superpowers sometimes, it looks like sharing, helping a friend, or standing up for what’s right.

Through rhythm and storytelling, Dele’s character gently opens children’s hearts to the realities some kids face, while helping them reflect on their own blessings. His story encourages gratitude, empathy, and an appreciation for friendship and kindness. Dele may not have much, but he teaches us that true richness lies in compassion, courage, and the choices we make every day.
